The Perks of Being A Bookseller.

A Bookseller in her mid-twenties that drinks too much tea, loves books, and wishes she was a cat.

My London Book Fair 2014 Adventure: Day I

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to LBF 2014 for free, and even spend one night as a Hosted Bookseller, thanks to the Booksellers Association.

These are some of my photos from Day One of LBF 2014!

1 - 9am and rocking up to Earls Court!
2 - The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared was my favourite book of 2013, so when I saw this huge poster of it, I had to grab a quick pic ;)
3 - Meeting Helen Dunmore.
4 - International Terry Pratchett day. Unfortunately, Sir Pratchett himself had to pull out of the event due to illness, but his co-author and friend, Stephen Baxter, filled in for him at the last minute.
5 - Meeting Haatchi and Little B!
6 - Meeting Stephen Baxter.

My first day at LBF was spent… confused! I don’t think I fully realised just how absolutely huge and disorienting it would be! Not only that, but with so many great events and exhibitors… where to go and what to do was overwhelming!
